The questioner : ... O Shaykh, I have two questions about the prayer and ..

The Shaykh : One question for you, one question, because there are many people.

The questioner : It is as if ... one

The Shaykh : Go ahead, go ahead, give us one now, the more important of the two.

The questioner : A man prayed behind the imam and left off rising from the prostration because he did not hear the imam's voice, and he did not perform this pillar. After the prayer ended, he came to ask the imam. Does he perform a rak'ah, or does he sit?

The Shaykh : He says: A man who was a ma'mum behind the imam did not hear his takbir when he rose from the first prostration, so he remained prostrating until the imam caught up with him in the first prostration, which was the imam's second. Now, he has finished the prayer, so what does he do? We say: He performs a rak'ah, because he left off a pillar of the prayer. And whoever leaves off a pillar of the prayer until he performs the taslim, it is obligatory for him to perform a complete rak'ah, then perform the taslim, then prostrate after the taslim. Yes.

The questioner : ... sujud al-sahw

The Shaykh : Do you allow him a second question or not? Fine ... you do not allow anyone else. Yes.
