Benefits of the Hadith: (… and I do not know that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited the entire Qur'an in one night, nor prayed the night until dawn, nor fasted a complete month other than …)

The Shaykh : Now, it also indicates that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not burden himself; he did not recite the entire Qur'an in one night, and the minimum time permitted for reciting the Qur'an is three days. However, some of the Salaf (the earliest generations) made an exception for the days of Ramadan, for they used to recite the entire Qur'an in a day and a night, because this is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed, so the Qur'an had a special status in it that it did not have in other months.
And among its benefits is that he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pray the night until dawn, according to her knowledge, even though it is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that in the last ten nights he used to keep the entire night awake. So it can be said that Aisha’s intention was excluding Ramadan, or it can be said that she did not know, and these are two possibilities. It can also be said that she means what he kept awake with prayer, because standing in prayer in the nights of Ramadan requires a person to perform wudu (the ablution for prayer) and prepare for prayer; it is not that he starts the night prayer immediately after 'Isha' (the night prayer) until Fajr (the dawn prayer). There must be other actions prior to the prayer. So what is her intention by the negation here?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : The prayer itself, and in what is established from him that he keeps the night awake, the actions preceding the prayer, such as wudu (the ablution for prayer) and others.
It also indicates that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not fast a complete month other than Ramadan. In this is evidence for the weakness of the hadiths reported regarding fasting in Rajab, and that they are not authentic.
Likewise, what is said about fasting Rajab, Sha'ban, and Ramadan; all of that is not from the way of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). However, it is reported from Aisha herself that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) sometimes used to fast all of Sha'ban. This hadith was reported in two ways: that he fasts all of Sha'ban with emphasis, meaning "all" for emphasis, and in some of its wordings
except a little إلا قليلا
. So it can be understood that he (peace and blessings be upon him) sometimes fasted all of Sha'ban and sometimes part of it. On this understanding, the negation in this hadith is valid, and the meaning of her statement
or ever fasted an entire month ولا صام شهرا كاملا
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2182Sahih (Darussalam)
is "in every year other than Ramadan," which resolves the issue.
