Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Hajjaj ibn al-Sha'ir narrated to me, saying: Muhaqqir Abu al-Mu'ri' narrated to us, saying: Sa'd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, saying: Ibn Marjanah informed me, saying: I heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah descends to the lowest heaven at the last third of the night, or at the middle of the night, and says: Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him? Who is asking Me that I may give him? Then He says: Who is lending to One who is neither in need nor oppressive? ينزل الله في السماء الدنيا لشطر الليل أو لثلث الليل الأخر فيقول: من يدعوني فأستجيب له أو يسألني فأعطيه ثم يقول: من يقرض غير عديم ولا ظلوم
Sahih Muslim 758d
Muslim said: Ibn Marjanah is Sa'id ibn 'Abdullah, and Marjanah is his mother.
