Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Wasil ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us from Husayn ibn 'Abd al-Rahman from Habib ibn Abi Thabit from Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas from his father عن عبد الله بن عباس أنه رقد عند رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم فاستيقظ فتسوّك وتوضأ وهو يقول: إن في خلق السماوات والأرض واختلاف الليل والنهار لأيات لأولي الألباب فقرأ هؤلاء الأيات حتى ختم السورة ثم قام فصلى ركعتين فأطال فيهما القيام والركوع والسجود ثم انصرف فنام حتى نفخ ثم فعل ذلك ثلاث مرات، ست ركعات كل ذلك يستاك ويتوضأ ويقرأ هؤلاء الأيات ثم أوتر بثلاث فأذّن المؤذّن فخرج إلى الصلاة وهو يقول: اللهم اجعل في قلبي نورا وفي لساني نورا واجعل في سمعي نورا واجعل في بصري نورا واجعل من خلفي نورا ومن أمامي نورا واجعل من فوقي نورا ومن تحتي نورا اللهم أعطني نورا 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas reported that he slept near the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When he woke up, he used the miswak and performed ablution while saying: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding." He recited these verses until he finished the surah, then he stood up and prayed two rak'ahs, prolonging the standing, bowing, and prostration in them. Then he turned away and slept until he snored. He did this three times, six rak'ahs in total, using the miswak, performing ablution, and reciting these verses each time. Then he prayed three rak'ahs as witr. The mu'adhdhin called the adhan, and he went out to prayer saying: "O Allah, place light in my heart, and light in my tongue, and light in my hearing, and light in my sight, and light behind me, and light before me, and light above me, and light beneath me. O Allah, grant me light.".
And Muhammad ibn Hatim narrated to me, saying: Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, saying: Ibn Jurayj informed us...

The Shaykh : There is a problem with this hadith, which is that it indicates the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to repeat the recitation of these verses, even though it is known that he did not do so except once. Let us see what al-Nawawi mentioned.
The reciter: The previous hadith?

The Shaykh : The last one we have with us.
The reciter:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) talked to his wife for a while فتحدث النبي صلى الله عليه وسلّم مع أهله ساعة
Sahih al-Bukhari 7452
?

The Shaykh : The one after it.
