The reciter: Qutaybah ibn Sa'id and Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd al-Ghabari both narrated to us from Abu 'Awanah. Ibn 'Ubayd said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us from Qatadah from Zurarah ibn Awf from Sa'd ibn Hisham from 'A'ishah, who said:
God’s messenger as saying, “One who is skilled in the Qur’ān is associated with the noble, upright recording angels; and he who falters when reciting the Qur’ān and finds it difficult for him will have a double reward.” قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم: الماهر بالقرءان مع السفرة الكرام البررة والذي يقرأ القرءان ويتتعتع فيه وهو عليه شاق له أجران
