Ka'b's statement: (Look at this wretch delivering the sermon while sitting) Was this during the sermon?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Ka'b ibn Ujrah's statement: "Look at this wretch delivering the sermon while sitting." It appears that he spoke about him during the sermon, ?

The Shaykh : It is possible that he said it during the sermon, and it is seen that when he feared the sunnah, he did not respond to listening to him. It is also possible that he said it afterwards, but the apparent meaning of the first phrase is that he said it when he entered behind him. However, the matter of describing him as a wretch remains to be considered, even though the issue is a sunnah and not obligatory. It is said: because someone like him is a role model, as he is an Amir. For this reason, what is obligatory for a scholar and one who is emulated is not obligatory for others, because he is a model. Perhaps he would leave off an obligatory act, for example, and people would think it is not obligatory. And perhaps he would leave off a sunnah, and people would think it is not a sunnah. For this reason, the prohibition of such an act by a role model is more severe than the prohibition of it by the general public.
