The reciter: And Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Hatim, meaning ibn Isma'il, narrated to us from Yazid ibn Abi 'Ubayd, the freed slave of Salama ibn al-Akwa', who said: I said to Salama:
as to what effect he had sworn fealty to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the Day of Hudaibiya. He said: To the effect that we will die fighting. عَلَى أَيِّ شَيْءٍ بَايَعْتُمْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ؟ قَالَ : عَلَى الْمَوْتِ
