Is it in the Sunnah for people to be affected when they see clouds, winds, and thunder?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. I mean, usually in the winter days, you see thick clouds in the sky. So, what do you say about what some people do, which is going out for a walk on these days and not being afraid of it?

The Shaykh : There is no doubt that this is a sign of hardness of heart. I mean, right now the winds are blowing fiercely, the thunder is crashing, the clouds are gathering and turning black, and the heart is hard. In fact, some people do not attribute this to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and they say: "This is due to natural factors, and these are natural phenomena," and the like. But we disavow these people. The heart is hard. Right now, everyone sees the dead person lying on his bier, as if he were sleeping in his bed! A person is not affected. In the past, when people saw a funeral procession, they were alarmed. Even the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), when he saw a funeral procession, would stand up and say:
Indeed, death has a shock.إنّ للموت فَزَعة
. But now, no. And this is despite the fact that this dead person has passed on, he is gone, and nothing remains for him but the Reckoning. There is no factory [to correct mistakes], everything is over. Nothing remains for him but what Allah and His Messenger informed us of regarding the scenes of the Day of Resurrection, the Reckoning, the Fire, and Paradise. And yet, it is as if each one of us will live on, will be immortalized, and as if a person might not be in his night or his day facing the fate of this man. So, right now, there is hardness in the hearts, a great hardness. Therefore, a person should try, to the best of his ability, to soften his heart.
