The reciter: And Abu Kuraib narrated to us, saying: Waki' narrated to us from Mas'ar and Sufyan, from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn al-Muntashir, from his father, who said: I heard Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) say:
I would rather wake up covered in pitch than wake up in the state of ihram having sprinkled perfume on myself. He said: So I went in to 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and informed her of his statement. She said: I perfumed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he then went around his wives, and then he woke up in the state of ihram.
