Is it recommended to descend into the valley of 'Aranah and pray there?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is descending into the valley one of the recommended practices of Hajj?

The Shaykh : Yes, meaning he asks whether one should pray the midday prayer in that location. As you know, there is now a mosque there, and the imam prays in this mosque, and many people follow him.

The questioner : Is descending alone, without praying, recommended?

The Shaykh : No, the recommended practice is to descend and pray the midday prayer, but people now, praise be to Allah, have a mosque where they pray.

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you.
The reciter: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon His servant and our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
As for what follows, Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book on Hajj, in the context of the hadith of Jabir ibn 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Then he called the adhan, then he called the iqamah, so he prayed the midday prayer. Then he called the iqamah, so he prayed the afternoon prayer, and he did not pray anything between them."
