The reciter: And Ishaq ibn Mansur and 'Abd ibn Hamid narrated to me, saying: Ja'far ibn 'Unayn informed us, saying: Abu 'Amis informed us, from Qays ibn Muslim, from Tariq ibn Shihab, from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to Yemen. He said: I met him in the year in which he performed Hajj. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Abu Musa, what did you say when you entered the state of ihram?" I said: "I said: Labbaik (I am at your service), with a talbiyah like the talbiyah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." He said: "Did you send ahead your sacrificial animal?" I said: "No." He said: "Then go and perform tawaf around the House and between al-Safa and al-Marwah, then exit the state of ihram."
كان رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم بعثني إلى اليمن ، قال : فوافقته في العام الّذي حجّ فيه ، فقال لي رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم: يا أبا موسى ، كيف قلت حين أحرمت ؟ قال قلت : لبّيك إهلالًا كإهلال النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم ، فقال : هل سقت هديًا ؟ فقلت : لا ، قال : فانطلق فطف بالبيت وبين الصّفا والمروة ، ثمّ أحلّ
Then he narrated the hadith in the same manner as the hadith of Shu'bah and Sufyan.
