The Book of Hajj-09b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar al-Qawariri narrated to us, 'Abd al-A'la ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Dawud narrated to us, from Abu Nuzrah, from Abu Sa'id, who said:
We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), shouting the talbiyah for Hajj in a loud voice. When we arrived in Makkah, he ordered us to make it 'Umrah, except for those who had brought sacrificial animals. When the Day of Tarwiyah came and we set out for Mina, we declared our intention for Hajj.
.

The Shaykh : His statement, "we set out for Mina," means: we went out to it. It is not intended that we went after the evening, i.e., after the sun had passed its zenith.
In this is evidence that the Arabic language has breadth regarding the word "rawah" (to go in the evening), and that "rawah" can mean going in general, as in his statement in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah regarding Friday: "Whoever goes in the first hour, and whoever goes in the second hour," and all of this is before the sun passes its zenith.
In this hadith is evidence for raising the voice in the talbiyah, as much as possible, due to his statement: "we shouted the talbiyah for Hajj in a loud voice."
