The reciter: And Ibn Abi Umar narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us from Ibn Abi Husayn from Abu al-Tufayl, who said: I said to Ibn Abbas: إنّ قومك يزعمون أنّ رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم رمل بالبيت ، وبين الصّفا والمروة وهي سنّةٌ ، قال : صدقوا وكذبوا Your people claim that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ran at the House and between al-Safa and al-Marwah, and that it is a recommended practice.
