The Book of Hajj-10a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Khalaf ibn Hisham, al-Maqdami, Abu Kamil, and Qutaybah ibn Sa'id all narrated from Hammad. Khalaf said: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us from Asim al-Ahwal from Abdullah ibn Sarjis, who said:
I saw the bald one, i. e. 'Umar b. Khattib (Allah be pleased with him). kissing the Stone and saying: By Allah. I am kissing with full consciousness of the fact that you are a stone and that you can neither do any harm nor good; and if I had not seen Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kissing you. I would not have kissed you.
Sahih Muslim 1270c
In the narration of al-Maqdami and Abu Kamil, it is: I saw al-Asil.

The Shaykh : As for al-Asil, it is apparent that it is a form of exaggeration, and this is not a defect, because baldness is praised among the Arabs.
As the poet said.
