They ask: What are the forbidden acts from which repentance is not accepted?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : They ask: What are the forbidden acts from which repentance is not accepted, from them or from it?

The Shaykh : From them.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : All forbidden acts, and the greatest of them is shirk (associating partners with Allah), accept repentance.
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء
[An-Nisa 4:48]
And He said in the verse of the repentant:
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins قل يا عبادي الذين أسرفوا على أنفسهم لا تقنطوا من رحمة الله إن الله يغفر الذنوب جميعاً
[Az-Zumar 39:53]
And in the Qudsi Hadith, Blessed and Exalted is He, He says:
O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. يا عبادي إنكم تخطؤون بالليل والنهار وأنا أغفر الذنوب جميعاً فاستغفروني أغفر لكم
Sahih Muslim 2577a
But the rights related to the injustices of the servants are not completed in repentance except by giving the right to its owner. So if a person wrongs another in his person, wealth, or honor, and then repents to Allah for that, he must give the owner of the right his right, either by seeking his forgiveness, compensating him for it, or by seeking forgiveness for him if the right is not financial. He seeks forgiveness for him, and Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, rewards this one who seeks forgiveness for his repentance if his intention is sincere.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.
