What is the ruling on fal (good omens)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : What, what? Ask permission, huh? Fal, fal, okay. Whether it is known or unknown, fal, because it does not increase a person’s resolve except to proceed with what he sees as good. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a good omen at the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah when Suhayl ibn 'Amr came, and he said
This is Suhayl ibn 'Amr, and I do not think he has come except to make things easy for you. هذا سهيل بن عمرو وما أظنه إلا قد سهل من أمركم
So taking a good omen is not [forbidden], and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked fal.
