The Shaykh : And in it is evidence that the original state is the absence of exclusivity. However, this ruling is a right in itself, but one may mistakenly assume that a general ruling is specific, or that a specific ruling is general. You often see in the books of scholars, during debates, statements like “this is specific to the Prophet,” “this is specific to so-and-so,” or “this requires evidence.” Likewise, generality in the context of the requirement for specification also requires evidence. Therefore, the correct approach is to follow the general evidences as general and the specific evidences as specific. In this is also evidence for the permissibility of rebuking or pointing out to one who is better or more knowledgeable. The reason for this is that Aisha was better and more knowledgeable than Umm Salama, and yet she reminded her. It is also evidence for the good manner of the Companions, even though they had not learned it, as she said, “I do not like for the young boy to enter upon me,” and she did not say, “I do not like for him to enter upon you.” This is part of perfect etiquette. If she had said, “I do not like for him to enter upon you,” it would have been as if she were above Aisha and rebuking her directly. But she softened her expression. From this, it is derived that a person should be gentle in his expression, especially when addressing one who is greater in status. Yes.
