The reader: "We have explained some of the methodology of hadith and its scholars that guides one who seeks the path of the people of knowledge, .."

The Shaykh : Therefore, he says: "He narrates from them, or from one of them, a number of hadiths from people whom no one among their companions knows, yes."
The reader: "We have explained some of the methodology of hadith and its scholars that guides one who seeks the path of the people of knowledge, and is guided to it, and we will add, if Allah wills, further explanation and clarification in various places in the book when mentioning the narrations with defective causes, when we reach them in the places where explanation and clarification are appropriate, if Allah wills. And may Allah have mercy on you. If it were not for what we have seen of the poor conduct of many who have appointed themselves as hadith scholars, in what is required of them to discard weak hadiths and denoted narrations, and their failure to restrict themselves to the well-known authentic hadiths transmitted by the trustworthy ones known for truthfulness and integrity, after they have known and admitted with their tongues that much of what they throw at the ignorant among people is denoted and transmitted from people who are not approved, from whom the imams of the people of hadith have criticized narration, such as Malik ibn Anas, Shu'bah ibn al-Hajjaj, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah, Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi, and others among the imams, it would have been easy for us to undertake what you asked of, namely, the distinction and acquisition. But because of what we have informed you of, regarding the spread of these people of denoted narrations with weak, unknown chains, and their throwing them at the common people who do not know their defects, it became light upon our hearts to answer you to what you asked."
