What is the ruling on one who says, "Your face is green," seeking blessing, to the point that they have described the Face of Allah with that?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some people say regarding blessing, ... with the color green, they say, "Your face is green?"

The Shaykh : Green? Green, and he dies ...

The questioner : In some of the customs of people ...

The Shaykh : We have never heard of this in our land, ever.

The questioner : In the north, they even went beyond this limit and said they described the Face of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), intending blessing?

The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah. Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. Perhaps it is because of the greenness of the earth, because in spring it becomes green, perhaps.

The questioner : What is the ruling on this?

The Shaykh : As I told you, inherent blessing is only for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). And spiritual blessing means that one is in goodness, indicates to us goodness, brings us goodness, teaches us, and reconciles us with others. For example, there is nothing wrong with this.

The questioner : I mean describing the Face of Allah with green? Intending blessing, not the color?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible, ever, even if one intends a correct meaning. Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. His veil is light; if He were to remove it, the radiance of His Face would consume whatever of His creation that sight reaches. And what informs you that it is green?

The questioner : He intends blessing?

The Shaykh : Even if he intended it, start, try not to take the risk, being a person of discernment, and say, "The Face of Allah is green," and what is green?!

The questioner : The color.

The Shaykh : Okay, is this permissible?!
