Explanation of the author's statement: "…And as for the impossibility of asserting falsehood regarding them, it is from two angles. The first is that asserting falsehood cannot be supported by valid evidence."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, "And as for the impossibility of asserting falsehood regarding them, it is from two angles. The first is that falsehood cannot be supported by valid evidence", or not? I mean, it is not possible for valid evidence to be established for its truth, whereas valid evidence can be established for its falsity. But our discussion is about asserting falsehood; it is not possible for evidence to be established for the assertion of falsehood and that it is the truth.
"And it is well known that the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) are the furthest people from speaking about matters for which no valid evidence has been established, especially regarding the matter of faith in Allah the Exalted and the matters of the unseen. They are the most deserving of people to comply with the saying of Allah the Exalted" and so on. The Companions are the furthest people from speaking about what has no valid evidence, especially regarding the matter of faith in Allah and the Last Day, because this is among the matters of the unseen in which a person cannot speak except with truth, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge ولا تقف ما ليس لك به علم
[Al-Isra 17:36]
What is the meaning of "do not pursue it"? Do not follow it and speak with it. And His saying
Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed - and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know." قل إنما حرم ربي الفواحش ما ظهر منها وما بطن والإثم والبغي بغير الحق وأن تشركوا بالله ما لم ينزل به سلطانا وأن تقولوا على الله ما لا تعلمون
[Al-A'raf 7:33]
The point in the last phrase is: "And that you say about Allah that which you do not know."
