The fourth and final question asks about the ruling on reading the Qur'an from the mushaf while one is sleeping, meaning lying down?

The questioner : The question of Muhammad 'Abd al-Ghani Muhammad, the fourth and final one, asks about the ruling on reading the Qur'an from the mushaf while one is sleeping, meaning lying down?
The Shaykh : There is no blame on him for that. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to read the Qur'an while leaning on the lap of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) while she was menstruating. So likewise, if a person lies down in his bed, takes the mushaf, and recites the Qur'an, there is no blame on him for that.
The questioner : You have done well. May Allah reward you.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the end of this session in which we presented the questions of the honorable Muhammad al-'Abd al-'Aziz al-Tuwajiri, who asked about playing cards, using a carpet as a sutrah, and giving charity on behalf of a deceased person through an action; and the message from Hajj al-Shamri from Rahimah in the Eastern Region, who asked about breastfeeding; and finally, the message from Muhammad 'Abd al-Ghani Muhammad from the cement factory in Riyadh, who asked about listening to the mawlid, and also asked about 'Umrah in Ramadan and about beer.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the end of this session in which we presented the questions and inquiries that reached us from you to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-'Uthaymeen, professor at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in al-Qasim, and imam and khatib of the Grand Mosque in the city of 'Unayzah.
Thank you to Shaykh Muhammad, and thank you, my brothers. Until we meet again in your presence, we entrust you to Allah. Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
