Reading from the author's words while cross-checking the manuscripts: "Therefore, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi and others said: The people of knowledge write down what is in their favor and what is against them,

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "Therefore, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi and others said: The people of knowledge write down what is in their favor and what is against them, and the people of desires write down only what is in their favor. The aim is not to detail what is obligatory or accounted for in this, but rather to point out the main points"
The student: And only

The Shaykh : And only the aim
The reader: "but rather to point out the main points by which the intelligent person becomes aware of what Allah benefits him with. And Allah the Exalted said:
And when it is said to them, "Believe in what Allah has revealed," they say, "We believe [only] in what was revealed to us." And they disbelieve in what came after it, while it is the truth confirming that which is with them.
[Al-Baqarah 2:91]
after He said:
although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved - but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:89]
so He described the Jews as"
.

The Shaykh :
while it is the truth confirming that which is with them
[Al-Baqarah 2:91]
up to His saying:
so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:89]
here, here it exists, this one.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : No, he said something else other than the verse. Repeat the words:
And when it is said to them, "Believe in what Allah has revealed,"
[Al-Baqarah 2:91]
.
The reader: Here it says in my margin, may Allah reward you, it says: "In the Jazirah edition, it says up to His saying:
so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:89]
and this is an error by the copyists because this verse
so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:89]
precedes the one the author cited before it, which is His saying:
And when it is said to them
[Al-Baqarah 2:13]
as is clear in the main text"
.

The Shaykh : Yes, good, correct, because the last one up to His saying:
so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:89]
before it. Read what you have so we can see if we have... commented on it.
The reader: "And Allah the Exalted said:
And when it is said to them, "Believe in what Allah has revealed," they say, "We believe [only] in what was revealed to us." And they disbelieve in what came after it, while it is the truth confirming that which is with them.
[Al-Baqarah 2:91]
after He said:
although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved - but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:89]
"
.

The Shaykh : Correct it, because there is not "after He said" following it, because between them is the verse
How wretched is that for which they sold themselves - that they would disbelieve in what Allah has revealed through [their] outrage that Allah would send down His favor upon whom He wills from among His servants. So they returned having [earned] wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment.
[Al-Baqarah 2:90]
. Write a comment: This contradicts the arrangement of the Qur'an because his saying:
so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:89]
is before the verse he cited by one verse, so perhaps it is an error by the copyists, an error by the copyists, yes.
