Commentary on Iqtida' al-Sirat al-Mustaqim-08b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "And in *the two Sahihs*, it is narrated from Abu Burdah that he said:
He used to offer the morning prayer at a time when after finishing it one could recognize the person sitting beside him and used to recite between 60 to 100 verses in one or both the rak`at.
Sahih al-Bukhari 771
This is the wording of al-Bukhari. And from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order us to make the prayer light, and he used to lead us in the recitation of al-Saffat
, narrated by Ahmad and al-Nasa'i.
And from al-Dahhak ibn Uthman, from Bukayr ibn 'Abdullah, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah, he said:
I have not prayed behind anyone whose prayer was more like the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than so-and-so. Sulayman said: He would lengthen the first two rak'ahs of the Zuhr prayer, and make the last two light, and make the 'Asr prayer light, and recite in the Maghrib prayer the short surahs of al-Mufassal, and recite in the 'Isha' prayer the middle surahs of al-Mufassal, and recite in the Fajr prayer the long surahs of al-Mufassal
Narrated by al-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah, and this is a chain of narration meeting the conditions of Muslim.
And al-Dahhak ibn Uthman, Ahmad and Yahya said about him: 'He is trustworthy,' and Ibn Sa'd said about him: 'He was a reliable narrator'
.
Time for the question, O Shaykh
