Reading from the author's words with commentary and collation of manuscripts: "I said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon His servant and our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
The Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book *Iqtida' al-Sirat al-Mustaqim*: "I said: The prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Mosque of Bayt al-Maqdis on the night of the Isra: Muslim narrated it in his *Sahih*".

The Shaykh : He narrated it.
The reader: He narrated it.

The Shaykh : And what do you have?
The student: He narrated it.

The Shaykh : Did he narrate it? Did he point to a manuscript?
The reader: No

The Shaykh : Put down the manuscript, point to it.
The reader: "Muslim narrated it in his *Sahih*, from the hadith of Hammad ibn Salama, from Thabit, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
I was brought al-Buraq Who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of version. I mounted it أُتيت بالبراق، وهو دابة أبيض طويل، فوق الحمار ودون البغل، يضع حافره عند منتهى طرْفه، قال : فركبته
Sahih Muslim 162a
"
.

The Shaykh : This is strange, Glory be to Allah the Great. It places its hoof at the limit of its sight. How long is its stride? Very long, because we do not know about the sight; perhaps it is one of the strong-sighted beasts. Glory be to Allah, it is as if it flies. Allah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allah, He creates what He wills. Yes.
The student: "
I mounted it and came to the Temple (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. قال : فركبته حتى أتيت المقدس . قال : فربطته بالحلقة التي يربط بها الأنبياء
Sahih Muslim 162a
"
.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The reader: Until I reached Bayt al-Maqdis.

The Shaykh : No, I have al-Maqdis. If we put down the manuscript, yes, that is right.
The reader:
I entered the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it قال ثم دخلت المسجد فصليت ركعتين
Sahih Muslim 162a

The Shaykh : He said: So I tied it.
The reader: "
then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. I chose the milk, and Gabriel said: You have chosen the natural thing. Then he took me to heaven.
Sahih Muslim 162a
and he mentioned the hadith"
.

The Shaykh : And for this reason, whoever sees that he is drinking milk, it is evidence that his fitrah is straight, meaning in a dream, because milk is the fitrah. And for this reason, it was said to the Messenger (may Allah's prayers and blessings be upon him):
I was guided to the fitrah. هُديت للفطرة
Yes, that is right.
The reader: "And Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) used to deny that he had prayed in it, because that had not reached him, and he believed that if he had prayed in it, it would become obligatory for the Ummah to pray in it.
So 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) criticized Ka'b for imitating the Jews, meaning resembling them in merely facing the Rock, because of what is in it of resembling those who believe it to be a permanent qiblah, even though the Muslim does not intend to pray toward it. So 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had..."
.

The Shaykh : And in this is an indication, meaning in this speech, it is the truth without doubt. We have heard some people in the Prophet's Mosque who are behind the grave, even though they could be in the first row, but they say: We want to make Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) our imam. And when they intend this, they fall into what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade. What is it? Praying toward graves. Meaning, as long as their intention is that the grave is in front of them, they have fallen into what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade. As for others who did not think of this, they did not pray toward the grave because of the barriers between the worshippers and the grave. For the grave has three great walls between it and the people, so it is not possible for one who faces it to be said to have prayed toward the grave. But these people's intention made them pray toward the grave. Yes, that is right.
