Her second question: She says, “I have been accustomed to waking up a full hour before the Fajr adhan, then I pray what Allah has written for me until the adhan for the Fajr prayer is called, after which I pray.”

The questioner : Umm Khalid’s second question: She says, “I have been accustomed to waking up a full hour before the Fajr adhan, then I pray what Allah has written for me until the adhan for the Fajr prayer is called, after which I pray the two rak'ahs of the sunnah, then the obligatory prayer. Is this the time for the tahajjud prayer? Please advise us, may Allah reward you?”

The Shaykh : Yes, what Umm Khalid has done is part of the tahajjud, because it is standing in prayer during the night. However, she did not mention that she prays the witr and concludes her tahajjud with the witr. If she does not do so, let her do so, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Make Witr the end of your night prayer. اجعلوا ءاخر صلاتكم بالليل وترا
Sahih Muslim 751b
And if it is her habit, as she mentioned, to get up an hour before Fajr, then she should not pray the witr before she goes to sleep, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said
Whoever hopes to stand in prayer in the last part of the night, let him pray the witr in the last part of the night, for the prayer in the last part of the night is witnessed, and that is better. من طمع أن يقوم من ءاخر الليل فليوتر ءاخر الليل فإن صلاة ءاخر الليل مشهودة وذلك أفضل
So we say to Umm Khalid:

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Make the last of your prayer in the tahajjud a witr, by praying the witr with one rak'ah at the end of your prayer.

The questioner : Meaning, if she did not pray the witr in the first part of the night?

The Shaykh : If she did not pray the witr, but we tell her: Do not pray the witr in the first part of the night, but pray it in the last part.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Meaning, as long as she is consistent with standing in prayer and is confident in her ability to do so.

The Shaykh : Yes.
