The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah is an excellent example for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Then Allah the Exalted said:
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day
[Al-Ahzab: 21]. It is derived from this noble verse that it is obligatory to follow the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). From where is this taken? From His saying:
anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day
[Al-Ahzab 33:21]
, because hoping in Allah and the Last Day is obligatory.
It is derived from this noble verse that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, based on His saying:
in the Messenger of Allah
[Al-Ahzab 33:21]
.
It is derived from it that the entire path of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is good, with nothing bad in it, based on His saying:
an excellent example أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
.
It is derived from it that it is obligatory for us that our following of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) be a good following, with no excess in it and no negligence, based on His saying:
excellent حَسَنَةٌ
, because excess is an addition and negligence is a diminution, and the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is between the one who goes to excess in it and the one who is negligent in it.
It is derived from the noble verse the obligation of hoping in Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and the Last Day. But look, we say: the obligation, from where is it taken? The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, that which contradicts it. But the obligation, I mean, if someone were to ask: from where do we take the obligation?
The student: In the beginning ...

The Shaykh : And they are
The student:
There has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:6]

The Shaykh : Because this is part of the completion of faith in the messengers. We follow him, hoping in Allah and the Last Day.
It is derived from it faith in the Last Day, based on His saying:
and the Last Day وَالْيَوْمَ الآخِرَ
. It is called the Last Day because it is the last of the days of this world. This world is such and such, or is it the last stage of the human being? The last stage of the human being, as we have mentioned previously in the tafsir.
It is derived from the noble verse the prescription of frequent remembrance, based on His saying:
and [who] remembers Allah often.
[Al-Ahzab 33:21]
. And Allah the Exalted has explained in Surat Ali 'Imran regarding the people of understanding that they remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying on their sides. And the human being is either standing, or sitting, or on his side, and they remember Allah in all these states.
