The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly gone astray in clear error”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that disobeying the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is like disobeying Allah, as He said:
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.
[Al-Ahzab 33:36]
So if someone comes to us and we inform him of a prohibition that came in the Sunnah, and he says, “This is not in the Qur’an,” what do we say to him? We say, “What is in the Sunnah is just like what is in the Qur’an.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) anticipated this and said:
The time is near when one of you will be reclining on his couch, and a matter from my affairs will come to him, and he will say, “We do not know what we find in the Book, we follow it.” By Allah, I was given the Book and something similar to it with it.
And what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) anticipated has indeed happened; in fact, they have explicitly stated that there is no argument except with what came in the Qur’an, as you have seen now:
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.
[Al-Ahzab 33:36]
He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah; but those who turn away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian.
[Al-Nisa: 80].
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the permissibility of joining Allah and His Messenger with the conjunction “and” in legal rulings. From where?
when Allah and His Messenger have decided
[Al-Ahzab 33:36]
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger
[An-Nisa 4:14]
This is unlike cosmic matters, for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is not joined with Allah by the conjunction “and” in them. Therefore, when the man said to him, “What Allah wills and what you will,” he said:
Have you made me equal to Allah? Rather, say, “What Allah wills alone.”
.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the affirmation of the prophethood of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as He said:
when Allah and His Messenger have decided
[Al-Ahzab 33:36]
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger
[An-Nisa 4:14]
The prophethood of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is general for all of humanity from the time he was sent until the Hour occurs. For this reason, Allah the Exalted said:
but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets
[Al-Ahzab: 40]. The Seal means there is nothing after him. And because the Shari'ah of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is general and comprehensive until the Day of Resurrection, it is suitable for every time and place and every nation. The meaning of its being suitable is that acting in accordance with it does not conflict with the interests of any time or place; rather, it is the interest itself, the very interest. This is not as some people have done, using this phrase to claim that the religion, or that Islam, is suitable for every time and place in the sense that it is subject to every time and place. They have made the Shari'ah a follower rather than a leader, and they have said that if the era, in their opinion, requires an interest, then the Shari'ah does not oppose it. And they have built upon this the approval of things they approve of, which are undoubtedly forbidden, such as permitting riba (usury or interest), claiming that it develops the economy and strengthens the nation, and permitting insurance, which is in reality gambling (maysir), which Allah the Exalted associated with intoxicants and divining arrows, among other things they consider to be within the scope of Islamic religion, on the pretext that Islam is suitable for every time and place. We say: “Suitable” means “subject.” You act in accordance with Islam in any time, place, or nation, and see whether it conflicts with the interests or develops the interests.
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.
[Al-Ahzab 33:36]
