The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And We placed between them and the villages in which We blessed, visible villages, and We measured out the travel therein: travel therein nights and days”

Allah Mighty and Majestic said: [Saba 34:18] In this verse is an explanation of the grace of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, upon Saba, where He made the villages extend from Yemen to Sham, with some close to others. It also contains the fact that when roads are between neighboring villages, they are safer and closer to security, as He said: [Saba 34:18].
Among its benefits is that the travel therein is measured out stage by stage between these villages. As we said, the benefit of measuring out the travel is that it is more invigorating for the traveler and easier for him. If there were a great distance between the villages, the traveler would be weary and tired. But when he covers it stage by stage, it becomes more invigorating and lighter for him. We mentioned that from this comes the division of the Qur'an and the issues of knowledge in the compiled books, so that a person covers them stage by stage, making it easier for him. Perhaps we can take from this a benefit for one who wants to memorize the Qur'an: that he should memorize it bit by bit. Because some people are given a full page to memorize, and then they return to memorize it, and it becomes difficult for them. But if he memorizes it verse by verse, that is usually easier.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is that safety in the homelands is among the greatest blessings, as He said:[Saba 34:18] And it is not hidden from anyone that safety is among the greatest blessings.
And We placed between them and the cities which We had blessed [many] visible cities
وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ الْقُرَى الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا قُرًى ظَاهِرَةًTravel between them by night or day in safety."
سِيرُوا فِيهَا لَيَالِيَ وَأَيَّامًا آمِنِينَAmong its benefits is that the travel therein is measured out stage by stage between these villages.
