The Exegesis of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: ((The ones who were arrogant said to the ones who were humbled: "Did we turn you away from guidance after it had come to you? No, rather you were criminals."))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed
[Saba 34:32]
They returned the statement to them.
refuting each other's words
[Saba 34:31]
Return the statement, Ya Ghanim? Where is the return?
The student: .......

The Shaykh : These are the ones who were humbled.
The student: Okay, look, if sleep comes and you are brought to the bed, and so on... Yes.
He says:
Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed
[Saba 34:32]
This is a response to their saying,
Did we avert you from guidance after it had come to you?
[Saba 34:32]
And here the saying of Allah the Mighty and Majestic is true:
when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed
[al-Baqarah:166] So here He said:
Did we turn you away
meaning... and we did not compel you to disbelief, but rather you are the ones who chose that. And His saying:
We turned you away
means we turned you away. And His saying:
From guidance after it had come to you
this is from the category of affirming the arrival of guidance and its clarity. This is an admission by these arrogant leaders, an admission from them that guidance had come to them, become apparent, and become clear.
after it had come to you بعد إذ جاءكم
[Saba 34:32]
The author said in its exegesis: "No" indicates that the interrogative here is for negation. And whenever you come across the word "No" after a negation, its translation is that the author holds that the interrogative is for negation.
Rather, you were criminals." بَلْ كُنتُمْ مُجْرِمِينَ
[Saba 34:32]
In your souls, look, I seek refuge in Allah. In this world, you find this arrogant one... he invites him with complete gentleness. And in the Hereafter, they curse one another and disavow one another. Look at the King of Ghassan; when it reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Ka'b ibn Malik had boycotted him, what did he send to him? He sent him a gentle, soft letter and said to him: "It has reached us that your companion has boycotted you, so come to us so we may console you." Look at the wording... but Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) was not deceived because of his faith, and he feared he might be deceived in the future. So what did he do? He went to the oven and burned this paper. And so, everything you fear for yourself in the future, you must destroy it. Do not say, "I cannot do that thing now, and I cannot be led astray by it." It is true that at the beginning you are not deceived, but Shaytan does his work. Therefore, you must destroy everything you fear will have a severe consequence for you. The result is that these people in the Hereafter do not befriend, do not soften, and do not show mercy to these followers.
Rather, you were criminals." بل كنتم مجرمين
[Saba 34:32]
And criminality is the blame that is not forgiven. Yes, he said:
Rather, you were criminals." بل كنتم مجرمين
[Saba 34:32]
