The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Gather those who wronged and their spouses and what they used to worship * other than Allah, and guide them to the path of the Blazing Fire.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that on the Day of Resurrection, people will be distinguished from one another, and certain groups, forms, and counterparts will be gathered together, as He said:
Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds احشروا الذين ظلموا وأزواجهم
[As-Saffat 37:22]
This is part of the separation that Allah mentioned in His saying:
This is the Day of Separation هذا يوم الفصل

Among the benefits of this noble verse is that these disbelievers will not benefit from their gathering or the assembling of some of them with others, as ... for Allah the Exalted said in another verse:
And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment. ولن ينفعكم اليوم إذ ظلمتم أنكم في العذاب مشتركون
[Az-Zukhruf 43:39]
In this world, if someone shares your punishment, it benefits you either by bearing part of this punishment for you, or by providing you with consolation, because when calamities befall others, it eases your burden and helps you to bear this calamity and be patient with it, as al-Khansa said about her brother Sakhr:
“And they do not weep for one like my brother, but I console my soul for him by taking his example”
Allah the Exalted said: Yes. And among the benefits of this noble verse is the humiliation of these polytheists by gathering their idols into the Fire. The reason for this is that humiliating the object of worship is a humiliation for the worshipper. I will give you an example: if a master has slaves under him, or a man has a family under him, and this man who has a family or the man who has slaves is humiliated, then that is a humiliation for the family and the slaves, because they say, “This is our great one and our noble one whom we honor.” So if he is humiliated, it is a humiliation for us, even if it is not a physical humiliation, but rather a psychological and moral humiliation. Thus, the humiliation of these idols is a humiliation for their worshippers.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is the permissibility of mentioning a general statement even if it includes what is not actually included in it, if it is clarified in another place.
Branching from this is that it is not required for the clarification to be concurrent with the thing being clarified, because the clarification that is prohibited is its delay until after the time of need. So if it is clarified at the time of need, this concern is removed. This has been clarified in many verses in the Qur'an that the believers will not enter the Fire:
Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ
[Al-Anbiya: 101] And all the verses that promise the believers and the righteous prevent these people from entering the Fire, even if they worshipped others besides Allah.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that these disbelieving polytheists will be gathered to the path of Hell, just as in this world they chose the path of the people of the Fire. So in the Hereafter, they will be recompensed with the like of that; they will be guided to the path of the Blazing Fire and turned away from the path of the people of bliss. Then He, the Exalted and Majestic, said:
Stop them وقفوهم
This is a new lesson.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : What is the topic of discussion?
The student: The names of the Fire.

The Shaykh : He requested to postpone this to the other Thursday.
