The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And stop them, for they are to be questioned. What is wrong with you that you do not support one another? But today they are humbled.))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said
and guide them to the path of Hellfire (24) And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." فاهدوهم إلى صراط الجحيم وقفوهم إنهم مسئولون
[As-Saffat 37:23-24]
In this verse and what follows it, there are benefits. First, when these disbelievers are driven by the angels to the Fire, they will humiliate them in several ways of humiliation. They will stop them on the Sirat, meaning at its location. You know that stopping someone involves saying "stop," "go," "walk," and the like. You know that this contains humiliation for a person when he is in the hand of another, like a tool.
Among its benefits is also that they will be humiliated in another, spiritual way. It will be said to them
[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" ما لكم لا تناصرون
[As-Saffat 37:25]
meaning, what prevents you today from supporting one another, after you used to support one another in this world? In this is evident humiliation, rebuke, and self-reproach.
Among its benefits is also that these people in that station will be humbled and submissive, as He said
But they, that Day, are in surrender. بل هم اليوم مستسلمون
[As-Saffat 37:26]
They were arrogant in this world, not accepting the truth; rather, they would argue and offer their necks to be killed against the truth, may Allah protect us from that. But in the Hereafter, they are submissive.
