The statement of the disbelievers: ((So the word of our Lord has come upon us; we are indeed going to taste it)) — did they affirm the ability of the servant? Is this not in the Hereafter rather than in this world?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: ... the Jabriyyah... Did the disbelievers not say this in the context of... meeting Allah on the Day of Resurrection and being reckoned with this reckoning?

The Shaykh : But who said that these people hold the view of the Jabriyyah in their state of life?
The student: Not all of them say so, but it is not far-fetched that the Jabriyyah...

The Shaykh : The original position is that their statement was based on belief, even in their lives. This is the original position.
The student: The author's statement... regarding the Messenger... Muhammad...
Similarly, there came not to those before them كذلك ما اتى الذين من قبلك من رسول ...
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:52]
?

The Shaykh : Yes, it will come, if Allah wills, with the benefits.
The reader:
(38) Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, (39) And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - (40) But not the chosen servants of Allah. (41) Those will have a provision determined - (42) Fruits; and they will be honored (43) In gardens of pleasure (44) On thrones facing one another. (45) There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, (46) White and delicious to the drinkers; (47) No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.
[As-Saffat 37:38-47]

The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from Satan, the Rakeeb. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said:
(31) So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. (32) And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." (33) So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. فحق عليا قول ربنا إنا لذائقون فأغويناكم إنا كنا غاوين فإنهم يومئذ في العذاب مشتركون
[As-Saffat 37:31-33]
From here, the discussion?
The student:
So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. فإنهم يومئذ في العذاب مشتركون
[As-Saffat 37:33]
