The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((They said, "Build for him a structure and throw him into the Fire. * So they plotted against him, but We made them the lower ones.))

Among the benefits of these noble verses in the saying of Allah the Exalted [As-Saffat 37:97] is the intensity of the plot of these disbelievers against Ibrahim (peace be upon him), as they showed the people that they were building a structure for him without letting them see that they intended to burn him, as indicated by His saying
[As-Saffat 37:98]
And among their benefits is that the fire they kindled in this structure was immense, as indicated by their saying, which is the great fire. And among their benefits is their arrogance, for they said "throw him," and throwing implies violence and a lack of mercy. That is indeed the case; had they intended mercy for him, they would not have contemplated burning him.
And among their benefits is also that their intention was one of aggression, for they said. The letter "lam" (in "for him") indicates, as we have mentioned, that it is for the purpose of causation, meaning they did not build this structure except with this bad intention.
And among the benefits of these verses in His saying[As-Saffat 37:98] is the clarification of what the enemies of Islam conceal against the Muslims and against Islam, namely the desire to plot against Islam and its people. Just as this was the case with previous nations, it will be the case with subsequent nations, as Allah the Exalted said [Al-Furqan 25:31]
And among their benefits is the refutation of the Jabriyyah (determinists) in His saying[As-Saffat 37:98]. The Jabriyyah deny that a human has any will in his actions, for they believe that a human is compelled to act, and that his action occurring with his will is the same as his action occurring without his will; in their view, all is equal. And among the benefits of this noble verse is that those who plotted, Allah plotted against them, making them the lower ones.
And among their benefits is that whoever exalts himself above the truth, Allah the Exalted will reward him with the opposite of his intention. For these people intended to be elevated and to spread corruption on earth, so Allah the Exalted dealt with them by the opposite of their intention, making them the lower ones.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that the judgment belongs to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and that the children of Adam, no matter how far they go in tyranny, are under the judgment and authority of Allah the Exalted, as indicated by His saying
And among their benefits is that the recompense is of the same kind as the deed. For when these people transgressed, encroached, and exalted themselves, Allah the Exalted punished them with lowness, which is the opposite of what they intended. Thus, the punishment was fitting for the action.
They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."
قالوا ابنوا له بنيانا فألقوه في الجحيمAnd they intended for him a plan
فأرادوا به كيداAnd among their benefits is that the fire they kindled in this structure was immense, as indicated by their saying

في الجحيمAnd among their benefits is also that their intention was one of aggression, for they said
Build for him

And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
فأرادوا به كيدا فجعلناهم الأسفلينAnd thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals
وكذلك جعلنا لكل نبي عدوا من المجرمينAnd among their benefits is the refutation of the Jabriyyah (determinists) in His saying
