The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: ((Indeed, they [plot a plot...]))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, they إنَّهُمْ
meaning the disbelievers,
plot a plotيَكِيدُونَ كَيْداً
meaning: they plot a great plot. And plotting (kayd) is for a person to reach the harming of his opponent in a hidden manner. - Pay attention -. Plotting is for a person to reach the harming of his opponent in a hidden manner. And it is like stratagem and deception. So the disbelievers of Quraysh plotted a great plot against the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). And among the greatest of their plots against him is what Allah Mighty and Majestic mentioned:
And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you وإذ يمكر بك الذين كفروا
[Al-Anfal 8:30]
For what?
to restrain you or kill you or evict you ليثبتوك أو يقتلوك أو يخرجوك
[Al-Anfal 8:30]
Three opinions.
to imprison you ليثبتوك
: meaning to imprison you, so that you remain fixed in prison and are unable to get out.
or kill you أو يقتلوك
meaning execution.
or drive you out أو يخرجوك
. So Allah the Exalted said:
But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners. ويمكرون ويمكر الله والله خير الماكرين
[Al-Anfal 8:30]
. And here He said:
(15) Indeed, they are planning a plan, (16) But I am planning a plan. إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْداً وأكيد كيدا
[At-Tariq 86:15-16]
meaning I plot a plot. And reflect: when He mentioned their plot, He mentioned it in the plural
They plot إنهم يكيدون
and when He mentioned His plot, He Mighty and Majestic mentioned it in the singular. So He did not say: "And we plot a plot." So the plot of Allah the Exalted, and He is One, Mighty and Majestic, overcomes the entire plot of whoever plots. And in His saying:
plot a plot يكيدون كيدا
is the magnification of their plot, because it came with an indefinite attribute. Meaning: they plot a great plot.
and I plot a plot وأكيد كيدا
likewise is magnification, meaning: and I plot a plot greater than their plot. And this is what happened: Allah plotted for His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until he came out of Makkah safe and returned to it as a conqueror after a few years.
The student: May Allah reward our Shaykh with the best reward.
