The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “(The causes of the heavens, so he looked at the god of Moses, and I truly think he is a liar. And thus We made pleasing to Pharaoh the evil of his work, and he was turned away from the path. And the plotting of Pharaoh was not but in ruin)”

Among the benefits of this noble verse is that it is eloquence for the speaker to take the nearest path to attracting the addressee.
And among them is ambiguity followed by clarification, as in His saying:
that I might reach the ways - (37) The ways into the heavens
[Ghafir 40:36-37]
This is frequent in the Qur'an and in the speech of people.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that “the heavens” is a plural, and a number, as in His saying:
the heavens السماوات
And they are, as is known, seven. Allah the Exalted said:
And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]
[An-Naba 78:12]
And He said:
Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens قل من رب السماوات السبع
[Al-Mu'minun 23:86]
This is agreed upon. Are these heavens stacked one upon another, or are there gaps between them? The answer is the latter, and the hadith of the Mi'raj indicates this with decisive proof, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended from one heaven to another.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that the leaders of misguidance and the imams of misguidance call people to misguidance with everything they can, and they try to prevent them from the truth, as in His saying:
but indeed, I think he is a liar.
[Ghafir 40:37]
We have explained in the tafsir why He used this word, so do not be deceived by the leaders of misguidance and the imams of misguidance and their deception and fraud. This is not limited to the rulers who hold power, but extends to the leaders of da'wah who call people to their destructive ideas and their base morals. You will find with them such deception and misdirection that it necessitates it being a trap in which one who has no insight will fall.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) tests the servant by making the evil of his work pleasing to him, as in His saying:
And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed
[Ghafir 40:37]
And indicating this is the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds
[Al-An'am 6:108]
And His saying:
Then is one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]? For indeed, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself perish over them in regret
[Fatir 35:8]
So strive to be alert to this matter, for a person may have the evil of his work made pleasing to him. And making things pleasing is of two types:
The first type is that a person sees this evil deed as good, and this is the greater of the two types.
The second type is that he does not see it as evil, so he inclines toward it by his desire, and says: “This is easy and there is nothing in it.” This is, in reality, making things pleasing, for one who does not see evil as evil will fall into it, either out of desire for it because it was made pleasing to him, or out of a desire in his soul because he does not see it as evil.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that Pharaoh turns people away from the path of Allah, so he is among the imams of turning away from the path of Allah the Exalted. And Allah the Exalted said in another verse:
And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped.
[Al-Qasas 28:41]
So beware of these imams; they do not deceive you, for they plot a plot, and Allah the Exalted plots a plot for His believing servant.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that Pharaoh ordered the building of this structure as a plot, not in reality. Otherwise, it is known that he would lose a great deal of expense on this tall structure, but for the sake of his purpose and his desire, he does not care about that.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that the plotting of the misguiders, and praise be to Allah, is in loss. Every misguider’s plot is in loss, for if the plot of this tyrant is in loss, then those below him are all the more so, without doubt. For this reason, He limited his plot to loss; it is nothing but in loss. And Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
(15) Indeed, they are planning a plan, (16) But I am planning a plan.
[At-Tariq 86:15-16]
Meaning a plot greater than their plot.
And He said:
Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.
[At-Tur 52:42]
And this is among the greatest verses that make the believer rejoice, that the plot of the disbeliever makes him the one who is plotted against. The verse came with a nominal sentence
But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.
[At-Tur 52:42]
and with a separating pronoun, indicating the establishment and certainty of that upon them, to its establishment by the fact that it came with a nominal sentence, for the nominal sentence, as the scholars say, indicates establishment and stability, and it came with restriction through the separating pronoun
But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.
[At-Tur 52:42]
.
And these verses, and praise be to Allah, make the believer rejoice. But note that this is the promise of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and He does not break His promise, but it requires a cause: that the believer does an opposing action. And when the believer does the opposing action to the plot of the disbelievers, he trusts in the promise of Allah and says that this plot will be upon them and they will be in loss from it. As for saying: “Allah plots against them and they are the ones plotted against, but we sleep on our beds and leave the wild beasts to eat the sheep,” this is not correct. There must be action:
O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you
[Muhammad 47:7]
And the plotting of Pharaoh was not but in ruin.
