Continuation of the interpretation of the verse: “Our Lord, indeed You will gather the people for a Day of which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not break His promise.”

Allah, Mighty and Majestic, informs about these people that they acknowledge this Hereafter, and that Allah the Exalted will gather the people, the first of them and the last, as He the Exalted said: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:49-50] And He the Exalted said: [Hud 11:103] How many people have preceded us, and how many people will come after us, and Allah knows best. And despite this, all people will be gathered on a single plain where the Caller is heard and the sight penetrates. The Caller is heard because nothing stands between them and His voice—no trees, no walls, no mountains, and no valleys. Likewise, the sight penetrates because they are on a spread-out earth, not spherical, so the sight sees their farthest point just as it sees their nearest point. This is clearly the case if the entire earth is spread out like a leather hide, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed, then its farthest point will be like its nearest point. But in its current spherical shape, as something gets farther away, a part of it disappears from your view. Does the part that disappears from your view disappear? The lower part, and it continues to disappear bit by bit until you cannot see it. So, Allah the Exalted will gather all people on that Day, from the first to the last. Will He gather others as well? Yes, He will gather the jinn. Will He gather others? Yes, what are they? The beasts and livestock. [At-Takwir 81:5-6] And others? Yes, the angels. [An-Naba 78:38] [Al-Fajr 89:22] So this Day is a great Day, a great Day. Every person of sound mind will fear Allah, and will ask Allah the Exalted to protect them from the evil of that Day. [Ali 'Imran 3:9] There is no doubt in it, and no believer doubts it.
