Some exegetes say that whoever abandons the forbidden and performs the obligatory, his destination is Paradise?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some exegetes say that whoever abandons the forbidden and performs the obligatory, his destination is Paradise?

The Shaykh : A man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “O Messenger of Allah, what do you think if I make lawful what is lawful and make forbidden what is forbidden, will I enter Paradise?” He said, “Yes.” So when a person makes forbidden what is forbidden, makes lawful what is lawful, and performs the obligatory, he enters Paradise. But there are things that may prevent that. Does everyone who performs the obligatory do what is required in performing the obligatory? There is often shortcoming. For this reason, it came in the hadith: “You do not get from your prayer except half of it, or a quarter of it, or a tenth of it.” This indicates that a person may pray, and his prayer may be sufficient to discharge the obligation, but he does not obtain the reward.
