What is the ruling on one who hesitates regarding the disbelief of the Jews and the Christians? It is not clear

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on one who hesitates regarding the disbelief of the Jews and the Christians?

The Shaykh : It must be clarified, and this is something we have only just heard. It must be clarified—may Allah reward you—that they are disbelievers by the explicit text of the Qur'an
They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the third of three." لقد كفر الذين قالوا إن الله ثالث ثلاثة
[Al-Ma'idah 5:73]
They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary لقد كفر الذين قالوا إن الله هو المسيح ابن مريم
[Al-Ma'idah 5:17]
There is no doubt in this; it is clear. Did not the Messenger fight the People of the Book? Did he not take the jizyah from them? And did he not kill those who did not pay it? Does he kill Muslims? In any case, it must be clarified. If it is currently confusing for people, it must be clarified on every occasion. And as we mentioned to you just now, Allah calls them the People of the Book to establish the argument against them, not to approve of what they are upon, and not to honor them.
