The second question of Fatwa No. ( 4252 ):


Q2: Is it permissible for a Muslim to call a Jew or a Christian a disbeliever?
A2: It is permissible for a Muslim to say that a Jew or a Christian is a disbeliever; because Allah described them with this description in the Qur'an, and this is known to whoever reflects upon the Qur'an. Among this is His saying, the Exalted:
Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أُولَئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ
[Al-Bayyinah 98:6]
and the People of the Book are the Jews and the Christians . And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
