The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: << ومكروا مكرا ومكرنا مكرا وهم لايشعرون >
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And in this verse: [Surat al-Naml: 50] there is evidence of the greatness of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and that He is greater in stratagem than those who plot against Him and His messengers.
So these people intended to plot against His Messenger, but Allah the Exalted plotted against them with something greater.
And in it is evidence for describing Allah the Exalted with stratagem, but not in an absolute sense, rather in a restricted sense. For example, it is said: He is a plotter against His enemies, or against those who deserve stratagem, or similar to that, which makes stratagem an attribute of perfection, because stratagem is not an attribute of perfection in an absolute sense, nor is it an attribute of deficiency in an absolute sense.
And in this is evidence that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) may plot against a servant without him being aware of His stratagem.
And among that—among Allah’s stratagem against the servant while he is unaware—is His luring him with blessings, where He bestows blessings upon him while he openly defies Allah the Exalted with disobedience.
And among His stratagem against him is His disguising the ruling for him so that he thinks falsehood is truth, and he will persist in it. For this reason, among the transmitted supplications is: “O Allah, show us the truth as truth and grant us the ability to follow it, and show us falsehood as falsehood and grant us the ability to avoid it.” So a person may have a doubt or a desire, a doubt where he does not know the truth, or a desire where he does not want the truth but wants something else.
And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not.
