Allah the Exalted said: << وجعلناهم أئمة يدعون إلى النار ويوم القيامة لا ينصرون >

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He said:
And We made them وجعلناهم
in this world
imams أئمة
by realizing both hamzas, "imams," and replacing the second with a yā, " What is it called? A'immah, and the two readings here are from the seven, he said: " leaders in disbelief " because the imam is the leader who is followed, so he is, may Allah protect us from that, one who has an impact in disbelief, and they are not just leaders, they are leaders who are followed... leaders in shirk (associating partners with Allah), meaning they are followed. The imam is the one who is followed. The meaning is that they were, may Allah protect us from that, leaders to disbelief and shirk. But the author says here: " We made them in this world imams." If he had delayed mentioning "this world," it would have been better. He said: And We made them imams in this world, calling to the Fire. Because the reality of the matter is that their imamate in disbelief, when was it? In this world. Their imamate was in this world, so they were made in this world imams, meaning followed, to be emulated in disbelief. So everyone who came after them and whose disbelief was great, he is one who emulates them. And his saying:
invite [you] to the Fire يدعون إلى النار
[Al-Baqarah 2:221]
By word or by deed? By both. Before they were destroyed, they called by word and by deed, and after they were destroyed, they call by deed, because if people emulate someone's deed, he has in reality called them to it. And his saying:
calling to the Fireيدعون إلى النار
Of course, they do not call by saying...: "Enter the Fire." If he had said: "O people, enter the Fire," they would not have obeyed him. But
calling to the Fireيدعون إلى النار
they call to the action that leads to it, which is shirk and kufr (disbelief). And how evil it was that they were imams in it, which is calling to kufr in Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, and... Now, his saying:
and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped. ويوم القيامة لا ينصرون
[Al-Qasas 28:41]
A dayيوم
This is a temporal adverb connected to
are helpedيُنصرون
, meaning and they are not helped on the Day of Resurrection. In this world, they are imams who are followed, but in the Hereafter, they are not helped. They cannot achieve victory for themselves, so it is not possible for them to be imams who are emulated. And his saying:
are not helpedلا يُنصرون
meaning they do not find anyone to help them by repelling the punishment from them. No one repels the punishment from them, neither they nor others. Even others cannot repel the punishment from them. Yes, the punishment cannot be repelled from him. Yes.
and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped. ويوم القيامة لا ينصرون *
[Al-Qasas 28:41]
