Because of His saying: [Al-Ma'idah 5:51] The Qadariyyah hold that a person can guide himself and that Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, has no authority over him. For they—may Allah protect us from them—the Qadariyyah, what do they say regarding the divine decree? Yes, they say that the matter is *unf*, meaning that Allah did not decree the actions of the servants, and that I do and leave off by my pure, absolute choice, and that Allah has no will, creation, or anything in it. But [Al-Ma'idah 5:51] refutes them, just as it also refutes the Jahmiyyah Jabriyyah who hold to compulsion, in that Allah the Exalted attributed to these people, by their actions, injustice. If they had been compelled to it, attributing injustice to them would have been an injustice, and Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, does not wrong anyone. So in the verse, there is a refutation of the Qadariyyah, and a refutation of whom? A refutation of the Jabriyyah, and the Jabriyyah are the Jahmiyyah, meaning that compulsion is part of the doctrine of the Jahmiyyah. They have three Jims, as Ibn al-Qayyim said in *al-Nuniyyah*: "The Jahmiyyah have three Jims, all of which are blame: compulsion, *irja'*, and the Jim of *tajuham*." So they are Jabriyyah, Murji'ah, and Jahmiyyah. Yes, Allah... the three Jims are the Jahmiyyah, the Jabriyyah, and the Murji'ah. In any case, in the noble verse there is a refutation of the two misguided groups, namely the Qadariyyah and the Jabriyyah. The Qadariyyah deny the divine decree regarding actions, and the Jabriyyah are the opposite. Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3803Da'if (Darussalam)
Among the benefits of the verse is that whoever seeks justice may be exposed to guidance, because injustice is the opposite of justice, and the absence of guidance by the description of injustice necessitates the presence of guidance by the description of justice. So whoever seeks justice is granted success in guidance. Thus, justice is a cause of guidance. And so, whoever seeks good—may Allah grant us success in seeking it—anyone who seeks good is granted success in it, provided that the intention is sincere and the resolve is firm. Yes.
