The questioner : May Allah bless you. Regarding the question of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them)
How is our prayer offered to you when you have perished? كيف تعرض عليك صلاتنا وقد أرمت
, does the visit and the greeting apply to anyone other than him (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : As for the prayer, they asked how he hears it if it is offered to him? They thought that the earth consumes him, and that there would be no body capable of hearing, that the ear would be lost, and so would the rest of the body.

The questioner : And also, other than the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : Other than the Prophet, he does not hear unless he knew him in this world and was close to his grave, provided that the hadith which Ibn 'Abd al-Barr authenticated is correct.
