Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: Our Prophet Muhammad and his family and all his Companions.
As for what follows: Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in *Iqtida' al-Sirat al-Mustaqim*: "And similar to what Abu Dawud also narrated from Aws ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Increase your prayers for me on Friday and on the night of Friday, for your prayers are presented to me. They said: O Messenger of Allah, how are our prayers presented to you when you have become *arm*? He said: Indeed, Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the flesh of the prophets.
.
*Arm*: means to have become *ramim*, i.e., old bones. When the possessive *ta* is attached to it, the most eloquent of the two languages is to resolve the assimilation, so it is said: *armat*. There is another language in it, as in the narration: *arramat* with a shaddah on the *mim*, and it may be lightened, so it is said: *armat*."
.
The reader: "And in the Musnad of Ibn Abi Shaybah, from Abu Hurayrah, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said"

The Shaykh : His saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
for Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets إن الله حرم على الأرض أن تأكل أجساد الأنبياء
Sunan Ibn Majah 1637Da’if (Darussalam)
means its meaning is "and I will not become *ramim*," because if the earth does not consume the flesh, it does not consume the bone. Or it may be said: the bodies of the prophets encompass both bone and flesh, so the bodies of the prophets remain and the earth does not consume them, because Allah the Exalted has forbidden the earth to consume them.
As for other than the prophets, the original rule is that the earth consumes them, but there may be found those whom the earth does not consume, as we hear of several incidents where some graves were found that the earth had not consumed.
