The reader: "And all matters that are thought to have an effect in the world, which are forbidden in the Shari'ah, such as astrological mixtures, and psychological orientations like the evil eye, forbidden supplication, and forbidden ruqyah, or natural mixtures"

The Shaykh : This is with a ra.
The reader: Yes "or natural mixtures and the like, their harm is greater than their benefit, even in the very thing sought, for these matters are generally sought only for worldly affairs, so it is rare that a person"

The Shaykh : In my view, these matters, there is nothing in them that
The reader: Yes "for these matters are generally sought only for worldly affairs, so it is rare that a person obtains a worldly matter through them without the outcome in this world being a bad one, let alone the Hereafter.
And the number of those who fail in these matters is many times greater than the number of those who succeed. Moreover, they involve hardship and harm that only Allah knows about. In themselves, they are harmful, and the intended goal is rarely achieved through them. When it is achieved, the harm is greater than the benefit. "

The Shaykh : Therefore, these people who visit the city, and their intention is to visit the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), their attachment to the grave and the cemetery in al-Baqi' is greater than their attachment to the Lord of the Throne, to the extent that we have seen one of them miss going to the city during the Hajj season because he was prevented from traveling to the city due to the proximity of the season, so he began to cry intensely. We said, why? He said, I missed the visit, I missed the lights, and he became agitated, I missed the lights. What are the lights? Visiting the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Ka'bah does not concern him in this regard. Therefore, this issue is serious, meaning that a person's attachment to the created being undoubtedly diverts him from the Creator, no matter the degree of the created being. So you must attach yourself to your Lord, this is what benefits you. The creation, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ibn Abbas:
Know that if the entire creation were to gather together to do something to benefit you- you would never get any benefit except that Allah had written for you. And if they were to gather to do something to harm you- you would never be harmed except that Allah had written for you.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2516Hasan (Darussalam)
To the extent that some of the Salaf disliked going to the doctor to be treated, fearing that his heart would become attached to him more than his attachment to Allah, and he preferred to rely upon Allah with true reliance and be healed by the permission of Allah. Yes.
The reader: "And the prescribed means for obtaining these permissible or recommended goals, whether they are natural, such as trade and farming, or religious, such as reliance upon Allah and trust in Him, and supplicating to Allah the Exalted in the prescribed manner, in the places and times that Allah and His Messenger have preferred, with the words narrated from the Imam of the Pious (peace and blessings be upon him), and such as charity and doing good".

The Shaykh : Pay attention to the word "the narrated words", meaning that the supplications narrated in the Qur'an and Sunnah are the best supplications, my brother. The supplications narrated in the Book and the Sunnah are better, sweeter, more comprehensive, and more beneficial than these composed words and supplications. Therefore, one must be cautious of what is sometimes published among people, among the poor common folk, where supplications are published among them, some of which are incorrect but composed and embellished, so the ignorant are deceived by them. And it is obligatory upon the students of knowledge to clarify that there is no supplication more beneficial or more comprehensive than what came in the Book and the Sunnah.
Therefore, the Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) qualified it by saying "the words narrated from the Imam of the Pious", may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him. Yes.
The reader: "with the words narrated from the Imam of the Pious (peace and blessings be upon him), and such as charity and doing good, through these is achieved pure or predominant good. And whatever harm occurs by doing a prescribed act, or leaving a non-prescribed act from what is forbidden, that harm is negligible compared to the benefit that is obtained".
Negligible?

The Shaykh : Negligible, yes, meaning: less than the benefit that is obtained.
