The questioner : A man came performing ifrad, so he only performed the arrival tawaf, and it occurred to him to perform sa'y two days after his arrival tawaf. Is that permissible for him or not?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. Yes, it is permissible for the one who performs ifrad, who has come to Makkah with the intention of Hajj alone, to perform the arrival tawaf and delay the sa'y for one day, two days, or more. He may also delay the sa'y until after the tawaf of ifadah on the day of Eid. However, the best is for the sa'y to follow immediately after the tawaf, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions performed tawaf as soon as they arrived and then performed sa'y. This is the best, but there is no blame on him for delaying it.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.
