Reading from the author's words, with commentary and collation of manuscripts: "And the Sunnah is to stand at 'Arafah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "And the Sunnah is to stand at 'Arafah: either at the rocks where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood, or in the rest of 'Arafah, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The whole of Arafa is a mawqif, except the middle of Urana عرفة كلها موقف، وارتفعوا عن بطن عرنة
Muwatta Malik 20:178
.
Likewise, the other mosques built there, such as the mosques built near the stoning pillars, and next to the Musjid al-Khaif"
.

The Shaykh : Every place of standing is separated from the second place of standing by a valley. Muzdalifah is separated from 'Arafah on the east by what? The valley, the valley of 'Aranah. And Mina is separated from Muzdalifah on the east by the valley of Mahshar, yes, that is right.
The reader: "And next to the Musjid al-Khaif is a mosque called: Ghar al-Mursalat, in which Surat al-Mursalat was revealed".

The Shaykh : Likewise, the other mosques.
The reader: "And likewise the other mosques built there, such as the mosques built near the stoning pillars, and next to the Musjid al-Khaif is a mosque called: Ghar al-Mursalat, in which Surat al-Mursalat was revealed, and above the mountain is a mosque called Musjid al-Kabsh and the like. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not prescribe intending any of these places for prayer, supplication, or anything else.
As for kissing any of these or rubbing oneself against them, the matter is even clearer, for the scholars have known by necessity from the religion of Islam that this is not from the Shari'ah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
A group of authors in the books of Hajj rituals have mentioned the recommendation of visiting the mosques of Makkah and its surroundings, and I had written this in a Hajj ritual guide I wrote before I performed Hajj in the early part of my life for some of the shaykhs, compiling it from the words of the scholars. Then it became clear to us that all of this is from the newly invented religious innovations that have no basis in the Shari'ah, and that the foremost of the earlier generations of the Muhajireen and the Ansar did not do any of this, and that the imams of knowledge and guidance warn against it, and that the Sacred Mosque is the mosque whose intention we are prescribed for prayer, supplication, tawaf, and other acts of worship, and we are not prescribed to intend a specific mosque in Makkah other than it, nor is it appropriate to establish a mosque there that competes with it in any of the rulings. What a man does in one of those mosques, such as supplication and prayer and the like, if he does it in the Sacred Mosque, it is better for him; indeed, this is a prescribed Sunnah. As for intending another mosque there specifically to seek its virtue, it is an unlegislated religious innovation.
The basis of this is that the mosques to which one travels are the three mosques, as established in the two Sahihs from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah"

The Shaykh : I have, from, from a hadith.
The reader: In.

The Shaykh : No, from, from.
The reader: "As established in the two Sahihs from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with them both): that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
One does not travel except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, the Farthest Mosque, and this mosque of mine لا تشد الرحال إلا إلى ثلاثة مساجد : المسجد الحرام، والمسجد الأقصى، ومسجدي هذا
Sahih Ibn Hibban 9:177
And this has been narrated from other angles, and it is a hadith established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) by the consensus of the scholars"
