Continuation of the author's words (may Allah have mercy on him): And we believe that His cosmic and legislative will is subordinate to His wisdom, so everything He decrees cosmically or legislates for His creation religiously

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The calamities have destroyed people. Some of it is disliked by us, but it is for a wisdom. Those who were killed in this are martyrs. The one who drowns is a martyr, is he not? The one who dies in a building collapse is a martyr. And how great is martyrdom! Martyrdom is worth the entire world. A person would wish to die a martyr rather than live a thousand years, unless it is in the path of good. Do you understand? The wealth that was lost may have been for a wisdom. Did the Messenger not say?
By Allah, it is not poverty that I fear for you, but rather I fear that the world will be opened up to you
Perhaps these crops and these palaces would remain and become a trial that helps us in sins and turns us away from obedience. And by their loss, we turn to Allah and we realize our own worth. This is the case. And, and, and. Is the preservation of this better? Which is more beneficial? The first is more beneficial for a person in his religion and his worldly life. Those who were killed in wars while defending themselves are martyrs, even if a person is defending himself for his own sake, he is a martyr. Have you seen?
The man who said: O Messenger, a man came to me asking for my wealth. He said: Do not give it to him. He said: If he fights me? He said: Fight him. He said: If he kills me? He said: He is in the Fire. He said: If he kills me? He said: Then you are a martyr
This one is defending himself, his wealth, so he became a martyr. These who were killed are martyrs. And we do not say for every single person that he is a martyr, because we do not testify for each specific individual, but in a general sense.
He who dies while defending his property is a martyr; he who dies in defence of his own life is a martyr
Riyad as-Salihin 1356
and whoever is killed over his family, then he is martyr.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1421Sahih (Darussalam)
Martyrdom is a light matter, a great and high rank.
the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light.
[Al-Hadid 57:19]
So this, which appears on the surface to be a harm to him and is disliked by us, has a good outcome. This is a trial. As for what benefits us, the wisdom in it is apparent; it is a kindness from the Lord (Mighty and Majestic) that helps us, if we are sincere, in righteousness and piety. And the best of people is the one who is able to use the blessings of... and the best of people is the one who uses the blessings of Allah to obey Him. So the result is that we know and we believe and we testify to Allah that everything Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has decreed, whether good or evil, trial or war or peace or otherwise, is for a wisdom, but we may know it or we may not know it. And how sweet it is for a person to be struck by a calamity and then to be patient and to persevere. He finds a strange sweetness, a sweetness of tranquility in the heart, a comfort in the soul, that he does not find in the greatest of sermons. If a person were to preach to you from morning to morning, it would not affect you the way some calamities do. Do you understand? Even sins: when a person commits them and then remembers the greatness of Allah and feels ashamed of Allah and is bashful of Allah and returns to Allah, he finds a great pleasure in the obedience that he used to do as if it were a habit. These are great benefits. If a person reflects on them, he finds that in what a person dislikes there is good, which he may know or may not know. We continue in this until the research is... Yes, he says: "So everything He decrees cosmically or legislates for His creation religiously is for a wisdom" And this is the teleological wisdom. "And in accordance with wisdom" This is the formal wisdom. The formal wisdom is that it is for a wisdom; its purpose is praiseworthy, and in accordance with wisdom means that the form in which it is is in complete accordance with wisdom. Ya Sa'd, you are with us, good.
He says: "Whether we know of it what we know or our minds fall short of comprehending it" It is for a wisdom. Then the author cited as evidence for this the saying of the Exalted:
Is not Allah the most just of judges?
[At-Tin 95:8]
Answer
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain [in faith].
[Al-Ma'idah 5:50]
The answer is: No, no one is better in judgment than Allah, neither in the cosmic nor in the predestined sense. Yes, neither in the cosmic nor in the legislative sense. And no one is wiser than Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
Is not Allah the most just of judges?
[At-Tin 95:8]
So when you know that Allah is the wisest of the wise, you know that what He has decreed is for a great wisdom. If you grasp it, then... and if you do not grasp it, then submit the matter to the One who knows it, (Mighty and Majestic). And Allah knows best. Yes.
