And we believe that the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) encompasses the virtues of the Shari'ahs of these messengers who were specifically granted distinction, by the saying of the Exalted:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then the author said: "And we believe that the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) encompasses the virtues of the Shari'ahs of these messengers who were specifically granted distinction". "Encompasses" means it gathers them together; the Shari'ah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gathers all the virtues contained in the previous messages. The evidence for this is the saying of the Exalted:
He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus
[Ash-Shuraa 42:13]
These four, along with our Prophet, are the ones of determined resolve.
What is the fundamental, authentic principle in this? He said:
to establish the religion
[Ash-Shuraa 42:13]
This is one aspect, and this is between the servant and his Lord, and it is the reform of the individual.
and not be divided therein
[Ash-Shuraa 42:13]
This is between the servant and his brothers, and it is the reform of society. So the religion encompasses all of this: the reform of the relationship between the individual and his Lord, and the reform of the relationship between him and the people.
to establish the religion
[Ash-Shuraa 42:13]
Establishing the religion means worshipping Allah the Exalted with sincere devotion to Him alone, according to the Shari'ah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). This is establishing the religion.
and not be divided therein
[Ash-Shuraa 42:13]
This means do not become factions, each faction declaring the others misguided, innovators, and denying them.
Therefore, we see that partisanship is falling into what Allah has forbidden, which is division. It is not permissible for the Muslim community to adopt political parties, and these parties mean the killing of Islam, because Allah said:
do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart; and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
[Al-Anfal 8:46]
But if there are disbelieving, atheistic parties, whether they are called Islamic or not, then we must establish a party to oppose them, in the sense of treating a thing with its opposite. However, if there are no such parties, it is not permissible for us to become partisan. For example, we say: this is the Ikhwan, this is the Tablighi, this is the Reformist, this is the Salafi, this is the Athari, and so on, as exists in the scene today. This is undoubtedly contrary to what the Shari'ah brought. Why does this community not agree on a common word that we worship none but Allah? And we associate nothing with Him. As for adopting methodologies, where every group has its own methodology, every faction has its own methodology, this means the joy of the enemies and the division of desires. We ask Allah for safety.
