And the Fire is the abode of punishment that Allah has prepared for the disbelieving wrongdoers, in which there is punishment and retribution that does not come to mind.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And as for "the Fire, it is the abode of punishment that Allah has prepared for the disbelieving wrongdoers".
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
It exceeds all the fire of this world by sixty-nine parts.
Add to it the full seventy. You see all the fire of this world, whether it is fire of wood, fire of gas, or fire of kerosene; all the fire of this world, even at its greatest, this [Fire] exceeds it by sixty-nine parts. Who can imagine this Fire? We ask Allah for safety. Yes?
He says: "in which there is punishment and retribution that does not come to mind". Allah the Exalted said:
Every time their skins are roasted through We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment
[An-Nisa 4:56]
Every time they want to get out of Hellfire
[Al-Hajj 22:22]
And when they turn to the shore of safety, they are returned to it, and this becomes greater in punishment, or not?
The student: Greater.

The Shaykh : How is it greater, my brothers? Because if they remained settled, they would despair and the matter would end. But when they rise up until they say, "We have gone out, we have gone out," and then they are returned and thrown back into it, this becomes greater, and may Allah protect us, greater. And so it continues forever. Listen to this in the Noble Qur'an in some places:
Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire
[Al-Kahf 18:29]
Which wrongdoers? The wrongdoers of disbelief, as Allah the Exalted said:
And the disbelievers - they are the wrongdoers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:254]
Not all wrongdoers.
Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them
[Al-Kahf 18:29]
The canopy refers to what is at the entrance of the door, meaning that the punishment surrounds them from every side.
They will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allah threatens His servants. O My servants, then fear Me.
[Az-Zumar 39:16]
He says:
And if they call for relief
See, if they call for relief, they must call for relief because they find thirst that does not come to mind. And when they call for relief,
they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces
[Al-Kahf 18:29]
The scum refers to the oil that has dirt on top of it, meaning it is ugly in appearance and foul in smell.
like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces
[Al-Kahf 18:29]
Before it reaches the mouth, as soon as this wrongdoer brings it near his face, it roasts the faces. The face falls off, and may Allah protect us, in pieces. If they are given drink, they are given scalding water, so what happens? It cuts their intestines. The faces fall off because it roasted them, the intestines are cut, and yet sometimes
Poured upon their heads will be scalding water
[Al-Hajj 22:19]
By which is melted that within their bellies and [their] skins.
[Al-Hajj 22:20]
Glory be to Allah, there they were given scalding water and it cut their intestines, here it is poured from above their heads, but it does not cut the intestines, it melts them.
(20) By which is melted that within their bellies and [their] skins. (21) And for [striking] them are maces of iron.
[Al-Hajj 22:20-21]
May Allah protect us and you from it.
He says:
Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.
[Al-Kahf 18:29]
Truthful is Allah, it is indeed a wretched drink.
